The 2026 Nigerian American Young Adults (NAYA) Picnic was a huge success, bringing together about 50 young adults for an afternoon of connection, culture and celebration.
Held on July 11, 2026, at Timber Creek Park in Blackwood, New Jersey, the picnic was organised by the current E-Board: Snow Nwankwo, President; Chinedu Anyanwu, Vice President; Chidera Okorie, Secretary; Chidera Azodo, Treasurer; and Angel Nneoma Chukwu, Public Relations Officer.
Although a heavy downpour delayed the start of the event, the weather did not dampen the spirit of those in attendance. Participants enjoyed a variety of delicious cooked and grilled foods, lively games, music and dance.
The day created a welcoming space for young adults to build relationships, reconnect with friends and strengthen the NAYA community. A selection of pictures and videos from the picnic is available below.
